Keats has a broad range of experience in founding and managing start-ups, developing and delivering commercial research programs as well as leading strategic and commercial transactions and projects that have delivered over $1B in commercial, research and investment funding and revenue.

Prior to Samsara, Keats was Chief, Research & Innovation Services, and Director of the Office of Business Engagement and Commercialisation at the Australian National University where he was responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of research support services including innovation and commercialisation.

Previously, Keats was founder of Beta Therapeutics Pty. Ltd.; founder and Director of Phenomix Australia Pty. Ltd. and Phenomix Corporation (San Diego, USA); Senior Scientist in Discovery Oncology at G.D. Searle, a Monsanto Company; Jane Coffin Childs post-doctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Immunology, National Institutes of Health (Bethesda, USA); and a Fulbright scholar at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (Cambridge, UK).
